Good watch...needs more holes in straps!

Comments:

The straps need more holes...not necessarily a childrens watch although I believe that is who the watch is meant to help! The watch is entirely too big for my son, a large kid for 7 years old, causing him to accidently push buttons. This messes up the alarm setting, making it ineffective. It does do a good job of reminding him to use the restroom when he is able to keep the setting in tact!

BEST USES

  • Countdown timer

Comments:

This watch is for my 8 year old for timed voiding. The countdown timer and alarms are fine but the buttons on either side of the face of the watch stick out so much that they are easily pushed by mistake when putting on jackets, mittens or simply bumping on one's arm. This resets countdown timers and defeats the purpose of the watch.

Comments:

Purchased for my 10 year old & it has worked great. The only thing is that it's easy to hit the buttons. I wouldn't recommend this watch for younger kids that might accidentally turn off the alarm. The support from the Bedwetting Store is phenomenal! I've received email instructions regarding daylight savings time & one w/the user manual. Couldn't ask for more!

I couldn't even see the controls on the watch to program it. My daughter had a very hard time resetting it making it a real pain to use. We decided to not use it any longer and just deal with a loud alarm on a regular watch. Way too expensive for what it is.

I think the watch is a good product. One trouble is buttons getting pushed accidentally to turn off the silent alarm. I wear it to remind a child it's time to go.

My son just needed a simple reminder...this watch did the trick! I thought he had some major thing wrong with him, for many years I put off taking him to the doctor, feeling embarrassed for him, and worried of what painful tests they would want to do. The ped urologist rec'd the watch, and I immediately came home and ordered it. He has been wearing the watch now for about 2 months. He had 2 accidents within the first two weeks, and none since. It is a complete turnaround and has really made both of us much happier! Perfect for us!

Good watch - strap is too big though.

  • Great for timed voiding

CONS

  • A bit complicated to set

  • Child's wrist hits button
  • Strap too big

BEST USES

Comments:

Great product for those kids that "forget" to go. Takes the nagging out of the whole process. It's also attractive so my daughter didn't object to wearing it. The vibration only setting is subtle enough that she could wear it to school without anyone noticing that it was going off. It's a bit complicated to use though and periodically my daughter's wrist would push buttons on the side of the watch changing settings. The other con is the strap can't be made small enough for a skinny 6 year old wrist.

  • Too large for young child

BEST USES

  • During the day at school

Comments:

This was a great watch for my child. The watch alarm/vibration reminded my daughter to go to the bathroom during the school day which eliminated embarrassing accidents. The only negative for the watch, the band was too large for her small wrist. But, she is a very small boned child, and I just wrapped the velcro all the way around the watch. It was not the most comfortable for her, but she lived with the discomfort.

Recommended by Our Urologist

PROS

CONS

  • Expensive
  • Low Quality

BEST USES

Comments:

This product was recommended by our urologist as a means to remind our child to use the restroom frequently in an attempt to combat frequent UTIs. The watch was expensive [$] and fell apart quickly. The leather band came apart and the silver face cover fell off after only 3 months. The watch did allow us to set a timer to vibrate every 2 hours as a reminder. However, the button used to switch the modes from vibrate to alarm (to all off) was easily pushed by flexing your wrist while writing. Therefore, my child frequently turned the device off by accident.

Not easy to use for a child

Comments:

This is a very nice watch, great for adults. But it is very difficult for a child (7 years) to use/reset. It's probably too advanced. In our case, it would have been better to have a watch with less functions, so it was less confusing for him to use.

Comments:

After two specialists and adult dosages of medication for my six year old daughter, this watch is the only thing that worked for my daughter. She would have to change clothes 2 times a day at school alone and this of course, caused major problems with the school and with my daughter's self-esteem. I truly wish I had known about this watch two years ago when this problem first came to light.
