BEST USES

  • The moral improves heaps

Comments:

I was a little skeptical at first and it hasn't stopped bedwetting all together but it is only 3 weeks. The improvement is unreal. My son doesn't stress out about bed time. I would recommend this product. I am from Australia and spent a little extra because of this but I am happy with my sons convidence and would do it again with out hesitation.

working with my 13 year old girl with night time wetness. She has been wet 7 days a week always. A very hard sleeper. We used night-nights all this time. We tried the alarm that hooks to her underwear, she pulled it off in her sleep. Finally we are having success. She feels good about herself. She goes to the bathroom before bed about 9:30. We get her up at 11:00 p.m. to go to the bathroom. She gets up at 6:30 am goes.

We bought this product for our young son. He sleeps very soundly and will not wake up to a quiet sound. This alarm didn't wake us up or him.

PROS

  • Responds fast to moisture
  • Alarm is loud
  • stays in place

CONS

  • Will go off with sweat

BEST USES

Comments:

My son is a heavy sleeper and has accidents. This alarm goes off at the first sign of moisture so he can wake up and go to the bathroom. It will make a lesser noise when my son sweats but as soon as he rolls over the alarm stops.

My 6 year old daughter was soaking through "good nights pull-ups" every night. She needed a bath every morning and I had endless laundry as a result. My mom encouraged me to get the "buzzer" like she used on us as kids. My pediatrician discouraged it. I am so glad we used it! It took about 5-6 nights to work completely, and I had a present ready to give her and her patient big sister on the first completely dry night. It "paid for itself" quickly in diaper/ laundry savings. There were no harmful psychological effects; the buzzer would sound and I got up and calmly put the lights on, helped her stand up, use the potty, change the bed, etc. It was enough of a disturbance of her sleep that her body figured it out. The only downside was that twice, the alarm made an unusual noise that woke us, but the bed was dry.

The system is easy to use and it worked. The alarm woke my child and it was loud enough for me to hear so I could help too. The first 7-10 nights my son did wet once to twice a night but he woke and did really well with the alarm. Easy to unplug, wipe down and reset for the rest of the night. He has now been dry for over 12 nights in a row --- very exciting!!! He told me if he can make it a few more nights he doesn't think he needs the alarm anymore. He was very accepting of the alarm and feels good about himself to not wet. I am very happy for him! The only thing about the alarm is it did go off or start to go off when he would sweat or if his bare tummy hit the mat (when the sheet would slip down) but that only happened a few times and my child would wake saying he didn't wet --- so he was very conscious of the entire process. I can handle a few false alarms - nothing is perfect --- you kind of need it to be sensitive so that it will go off right away with urine..... and it does.

PROS

  • Blocks urine spread
  • Loud enough
  • Easy to clean

CONS

  • May move if restless
  • Top sheet still wet
  • Not so comfortable

BEST USES

  • Good while sick

Comments:

Don't need to use real often. Need to figure out way to put securely on top of sheet so that only need to change alarm covering, yet not compromise sensor.

We have done everything to help our daughter. We bought this hoping for a change. No such luck. The first night we used it, she had an accident and it did't go off. As she sat up to get out of bed, it chirped. So we cleaned her off, cleaned off the bed and alarm and used a damp cloth on top and found that we had to apply huge amount of pressure for this thing to even acknowledge any moisture.. Ridiculous. I still set my alarm and her alarm for every three hours. we both wake up exhausted.. I need a break and tired of wasting money on things that are not working as promised..

PROS

  • Easy to clean
  • Alarm is loud enough

CONS

  • Very sensitive
  • Sweat will set off

BEST USES

Comments:

Worked great at waking us parents and at the end waking my daughter. The sensor is very sensitive, if your child tends to sweat in sleep the alarm will sound. The connection to battery gave us some difficulty since the cord was not that long. But again, it worked great and our daughter is no longer a bedwetter.

I don't think it was the "training to wake up" aspect that helped so much, but the "alarm avoidance" that worked so well with my daughter! She hated the sound of the alarm, and so was determined not to set it off! Anyway, she was dry forever in about 10 days. Much happier, as are we all. And she is proud of herself too. Putting it under the sheet is problematic in that if it goes off, then the sheet must be wet, so how do you use it the rest of the night? You have to change the sheet! Pillowcase worked best for us. My daughter's only complaint (other than the raucous alarm) was that "it feels like I'm sleeping on cardboard."
