In just 3 weeks, our son whom wet every night at 7.5 years old is now dry 90% of the time. Recently, he was dry for 6 nights, had barely a drop one night and now is dry for 2 nights in a row. The device is very sensitive and will detect even a drop of urine. The only downside is the clip is too difficult for him to manipulate which frustrates him. A bit of advice to parents...I slept with our son the first week to 10 days to get him off to a good start. I think that really helped as he was quite wet the first 5 to 6 days which required changing of PJs in the middle of the night. Even then if the alarm went off, he removed the clip, reset the alarm and retrieved his fresh underwear. These actions left him feeling very empowered which was very helpful. Thereafter, he slept independently (which is always the norm in our house) so he could build confidence in himself. He would just call to me if he needed me thereafter. I will say, he was extremely motivated and I waited until he was ready to use such a device which I think also helped. I am very satisfied with this device and would highly recommend it if your child is motivated to stop bedwetting.

My 11 year old son has been wetting for years. We tried another alarm a few years ago (the one with the special underwear--it went through the wash the second week and was ruined). My doctor recommended an alarm several months ago and I finally purchased this one. After three weeks he is no longer wearing it. He wakes up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom now. I am very amazed and happy. Would highly recommend using this. I had my doubts but it was well worth the money. No more worries at sleepovers, etc.

Amazing! My almost 9 yr old has never been dry and didn't think anything would work... Even this. He is a hard sleeper who we would get up 2 times a night and he would already be wet. During only his second week, he was already dry 3 nights in a row. We just finished weeks 3 & 4 with total dryness!!! He now wakes himself up at night to go to the bathroom when needed. Last night was first night with no alarm and he was DRY again! The confidence boost is terrific. He just needed to learn what it feels like to have a truly full bladder and by the alarm waking him even a couple times as he started to go he learn what it feels like and what muscles it takes to hold it. Only draw back we saw is that the reset time only stopped the alarm a few seconds which is not enough to go to the bathroom and remove the alarm. However I can see this being useful if kids try to go back to bed without going to the bathroom. We just ended up turning off the main unit but had to remember to turn it back on. It is so easy my son puts it on himself as he gets ready for bed! Well worth the investment!!

My 6-year old can easily test it and attach it on her own. We've been using it for 3 weeks, and she started waking up dry the very first night-just from knowing that it was on. She used to wet every single night before we got the alarm, but she has only wet 2 nights in 3 weeks.

I purchased the one with the TWO receivers. I like that because my 16 year old son sleeps downstairs and I can hear when it goes off and quickly go down there to make sure he gets up quickly. I wish the quality/longevity were better. This is our THIRD Malam alarm--yes we have had fairly long period of success but have relapsed each time. The first alarm developed a short in the wiring. The second alarm's electrode that clips onto the underwear eroded with long-term use even though my son would rinse it off regularly.

We are still in shock at how well this product worked! Our son is almost six and could NEVER stay dry during the night. We had tried almost everything for about two years. We had success with this alarm within 5 days! Within 10 days, he was consistently dry every morning. The alarm was very easy to use. Although it didn't wake him up the first few nights, it was loud enough to wake us up at the other end of the hall so that we could get him up to go to the bathroom. By night 5, the alarm alerted him to stop peeing and go to the bathroom. By night 7, he had his first dry night. The only (very small) issue we had was that the transmitter occasionally came off his underwear during the night. The clip always stayed in place, so it still worked. We are truly amazed at this product and just wish we had bought it sooner!

This product is really helping my child. I have a 10 year old son who has never had a dry night until now. We have been using the alarm for about 3 weeks now and the past 3 days have been completely dry with the alarm never going off. If i have to say one bad thing, it would that it is a little difficult to get the clip on the underwear. He has to help me by holding the underwear tight while i attach the clip.

Comments:

We have two sons, ages 9 and 7 and they are both heavy bedwetters. We have tried numerous remedies to help the issue, nothing has helped. We did homeopathic medicines, Imipramine (suggested by their pediatrician and is a big, big, big mistake), cutting off fluids after 6 p.m and diet changes. We even went 3 months without Goodnites to see if their bodies would just start waking up once they wet the bed. They ended up just sleeping in wet sheets and we had to change them every day. We had blood tests and physicals done on them and everything came back normal. The amount of urine they were producing was so heavy we were using Goodnites AND another insert for men's incontinence. Although my husband and I did not make this a big issue, the boys repeatedly asked me if there was anything else we could try. 3 months ago we bought this alarm for my oldest to start using. I slept in the same room with him and the alarm went off anywhere from 3-6 times for the first few days. We layered his sheets w/ water-proof pads so we only had to peel them back in the middle of the night when he soaked them. But after that, it went down to 2-3 times a night and withing 10 days, he was getting up on his own and only having to change his underwear. Now, it is 3 months later and he will go several days without the alarm sounding and even get up to go to the bathroom BEFORE the alarm sounds (YEAH!!), but we have not yet gone 2 full weeks being without the alarm sounding. My son doesn't care, however, because he no longer has to wear the "diapers" as he'd call the Goodnites so it's worth it for his self esteem. We will wear the alarm as long as it takes as it has been BY FAR the most effective thing to help us. I wish we had tried this before we tried the medications.

We were using an alarm that clipped on and vibrated with sound. This worked well for my son, but was very uncomfortable for my daughter who often sleeps on her stomace. This is much more comfortable and easy to use, however, the battery life on the unit is horrendous. We have gone through two batteries in less than 3 weeks of use. The batteries are not standard and cost about $10 each.

This was the best money I ever spent! After almost 2 weeks of using the alarm, my 6 year old daughter (at the time) was dry and has remained dry ever since. I'm writing this review almost a year after we started using the alarm, and have had NO wet nights since. We even strayed from the instructions a bit, and still had results. It states that you should not use pull ups, however we attached the alarm to underwear, then she wore a pull up OVER her underwear every night. The alarm still worked properly and bed wetting ceased entirely just before we hit the 2 week mark of alarm use. I did have to go get a new battery for one of the components after just a month of use (we still used the alarm as directed for the prescribed time even after night wetting had stopped.) My husband was skeptical, but we can BOTH now confidently recommend this as a wonderful investment!

We bought this because my son wasn't waking to his existing Malem alarm, and I wanted a transmitter for my room. My transmitter doesn't always go off, and when it does go off it's well after he's wet. It's supposed to go off after 1 drop so he can get up and use the bathroom, but by the time it goes off he's soaked. Will give it more time, but so far am disappointed.

This is what I was looking for, and I'm so glad I made this purchase. Within five days my son, 5, had his first dry night ever, and continued success after that with a few bumps along the way. I think what helped the most (other than making this purchase), was I talked about it with my son before hand in preparation. I made sure he was on board the whole time and that he felt good about this, and that we would give it our best shot. When we received our package, we opened it together. I showed him how it worked and what to expect in the night. He was ready and knew what to expect. I'm so glad I could help my son, and I know he is proud of himself.

After 5+ years of buying pull-ups and endless sleepless nights setting the alarm and trying to wake up my VERY HEAVY sleeper - we finally found a product that worked for my 8 year old daughter! I had a company come out to the house and they wanted to charge us ALOT of money to "monitor" her progress and they supply an alarm, etc. But I went to this site and the alarm looked so easy to use I figured why do I need someone else to monitor our progress! We kept a calendar of her dry nights - she complained very little about wearing the wireless clipon sensor and I was amazed that she was waking up on her own and going to the bathroom. Of course we had some wet nights in the beginning but I kept encouraging her on her progress and we were totally dry in several weeks. We continued to use the alarm for the recommended 30 days of dry nights and have been dry for over 7 months now. Her reward was a memory foam mattess topper she'd been wanting for her bed! And she is so happy to go to sleepovers now! It's an emotional and financial relief for us both!

My son is 9 yrs old and has not been dry more than 6 times his entire life. we have tried limiting fluids at night, seeing a urologist, using DDAVP (medication), and I have tried waking him up multiple times at night to potty, all which had no effect on him at all. I spoke with him about the alarm and he wanted nothing to do with it, finally after many many nights of him being wet and sad I convinced him to look at them. Together we looked at all the models and I let him choose the one he would feel more comfortable trying. He chose the Malem wireless. We used our own underware, the alarm and then a pull-up over all of that and everything worked like a charm. The First week was hard I had to sleep in his room so I could help him manage the getting up, changing, and the alarm. The great thing I noticed was that he was wet almost everynight around 4 am and usually only that one time. The alram went off, we changed him, switched pull-ups(the bed never got wet) and back to sleep he went. by the 2nd,3rd,and 4th week he was on his own, waking me when he needed me which by the way was only 1 time every week. And this is coming from a child who was saturated every night of his life. We are now on week 5 and 6 and he has been dry every single night, we have even skipped nights with no alarm. I am so happy for him, he finally feels like the big guy that he is, and we both never thought this would work, but all I can say is it is the best money I have EVER spent. To have my child finally feel free at night and have him happy about himself. My only regret is that I did not do this 4 years ago. And to add one more thing I am in the middle of chemo treatments and I was still able to use this system with ease. Simply amazing product. thank you for helping us.
