My daughter was dry at night for 6 months at the age of 3 but when Winter came she started bed wetting again. For 2 years we continued to try on and off with drynites, bed pads, and getting her up to the toilet during the night but she would still wet several times a night and not even wake up when she did. Once she turned 5 I took her to the GP for a checkup before she could be referred to the enuresis clinic where she would be given an alarm to use but the referral took so long that by the time she reached 6, I just decided to buy an alarm myself and am so glad I did. I really didn't think it would wake her but at least it would wake me. However, it did wake her from the very first night and within only 2 weeks she was dry and remained consistently dry from then on. I think it helped that she really was ready and willing to give it a go and really wanted to be dry at night. To me it was an absolute miracle and I will definitely use it with my 3 boys if required. I just wish I had bought it sooner.

I've never written a product review but felt I had to share our experience. My son is 6 1/2 hrs old and is a very heavy sleeper. He has been known to fall out of bed, hit his head on a toy on the floor and stay asleep. As a result, he had never had a dry night in his life. our pediatrician said he would grow out of it but I worried he would be 12 by the time his body figured it out and I didn't want to be buying pull ups for the next 6 years! His twin brother has been dry at night since he was 5 so I was assuming that his night wetting was not medical related. Anyway, after reading the reviews I bought the malem deluxe alarm in the camouflage pattern. My son was so excited we tried it as soon as we got it. As other reviewers have said, it is definitely a process that parents will have to be involved with. The first two weeks were the toughest since I had to get up multiple times a night and wake my son up and walk him to the bathroom - it was like being a mother to a newborn again. If your child is a heavy sleeper like mine, the alarm will not wake them up (we had the alarm and vibrate on) we were excited that after the first week we went from multiple alarms a night to once a night. we had our first dry night about 3 weeks in and now after 6 weeks we have had 2 weeks of dry nights in a row. We have taken the alarm off to see if he can continue staying dry but it seems to be working. incentives are definitely helpful and can keep kids motivated especially at 2am when they're exhausted and don't want to go to the bathroom. this definitely works but parents be prepared for weeks of middle of the night bathroom trips. In the end, SO WORTH IT!!!!

This worked for my 8 yr old. He's just one of those kids that would not wake up to go to the bathroom. We had tried everything before the alarm. He needed to wear it for about a month and a half but now he is no longer wearing it and not having any accidents. He said that waking up to the alarm was so annoying that he started waking up himself to avoid being woken up to the alarm. If you child is getting up there in years and nothing has seemed to work before- try the alarm. It really works!

We started using this for our 9-year old son in March 2011. Within a few weeks, he was having some dry nights and/or smaller wet spots. He's been dry 7 nights in a row at times but then will have an exhausting day from sports and will be wet. So we are defintely seeing progress but it is not a quick fix. The key is that he was motivated to start it and continues to be motivated to use it. He does everything on his own, including getting up at night to turn the alarm off when it rings. The nice part is I no longer have to spend money on pull-ups and I don't have to change wet sheets, except on occassion!

I bought this for my six year old son who was wetting the bed probably five nights a week. We were using night time sleep pants but they leaked on him almost every time (he's very tall for his age). We showed him this alarm and explained what it would do... he was on board immediately. It only took him a few nights before he was making it all night without setting of the alarm! I would HIGHLY recommend this product.... I think it was amazing.

This product was great. My son completely stopped wetting the bed within about 4 weeks. He kept the alarm on longer just to be safe. It was easy for him to do on his own. The only time we had an issue was when it didn't go off. He must have been sleeping in an odd position. Worth the money!

I would never recommend this brand. Frustrated customer - its enough to get your child over the hump to wear the alarm - then when it is not loud enough to wake the child out of a deep sleep, I feel like I've wasted money - now looking for an alternate - likely a cheaper one will do a better job.
