CONS BEST USES Comments: So easy a child can use it!! This product changed our lives, why didn't we do this sooner? It was very motivating and gave my daughter the power to teach herself to wake up to go. She felt so good about the success she experienced - she was consistently dry in only two weeks and ready to try it on her own in a month. Maybe we jumped the gun, because she had a little setback, but she felt so positive about how well the alarm worked for her it was no big deal to take a step back and revisit the basics. |

Comments: My 7 year old had never had a dry night in her whole life. She is very sensitive to things touching her skin, like scratchy clothing, so I thought that she would not accept the alarm, but it was so small that she did not notice it. She woke up to the alarm every night the first 5 nights. Then she only wet the bed a few times over the next week. By week 3 she was dry and has been for 6 months. I can't recommend this alarm more! |

PROS CONS BEST USES Comments: my 9 year old daughter had not had a dry night since she was about 3 years old. My daughter was super excited about the purchase of the alarm. she was very ready. she asked everyday "when is the alarm coming" since she was so excited she was very eager to learn how it worked with the pinning the unit to her shirt and to the panties. I think that has helped in her success. She has been dry for 7 nights. We have only been using the alarm for 3 weeks. its fantastic She sets her own self up. Fortunately, we have a spare room next to hers and my husband and I have been rotating sleeping in there. The child definitely needs help getting up. With us being so close we were able to get to the room super quick and get her feet on the floor and to the restroom. to make clean up in the middle of the night simple. I layerd mattress cover, sheet, mattress cover sheet. and had panties and jammies ready to go. I reccomend no PJ bottoms. a shirt is fine. Like I said it was rough having those middle of night wake up calls and I washed her sheets everyday straight for a week. its all worth it. I highly recommend this alarm.!!! |

Comments: I'm impressed!! My son has always been a bedwetter. Every night he would urinate and not even wake to the wettness. At 7 years old, something had to be done without medication!! This thing really works!! My son was excited when we got it and puts it on by himself. After only about one month, he wakes up before the alarm even goes off. The first couple of nights we had to wake him even with the alarm going off. Eventually he would drip just a bit, the alarm would go off then he would be off to the bathroom. Now he just gets up, and goes all by himself. It's like his brain needed a reset button. His only complaint would be that the cord tickles him sometimes. Maybe wireless would have been a better choice. I'm just so thank-ful for this product. It is saving me so much time and aggravation. No more wet sheets!! |

Comments: My 5-year-old son had heard me talk about bed wetting alarms and asked for one, but I hesitated because of the price. Now I wonder why I waited so long! Eventually I decided it was time to give it a try. He was so excited to use it the first time. However, his enthusiasm turned to frustration ("Do I have to?") after a few nights of being woken up multiple times, but his progress soon became clear and his frustration transformed to pride. Over all, the process was quick, although it seemed slow when I was waking up night after night to clean him up. At first he wet two or three times a night, which quickly turned to one or two times a night after just a few days. After another week or so he had some dry nights and leaks rather than floods. Finally, after about a month, he was dry every night. The device was easy to use although it did not wake my son. He just needed a little help from a parent. This was easily solved by moving him into the master bedroom during the training process. The only problem was once when he wet while I was downstairs and didn't hear the alarm for at least an hour, which then wore down the batteries so it eventually didn't alert us to another wetting incident. This is just something to watch out for in your quest for dry nights. I don't know how we would have done it without the Malem alarm. It was a worthwhile investment. I wish we had done it sooner. |

Comments: The process took about 4 months but after 8 1/2 years my son has stopped wetting the bed!!! We had tried everything else previously, i.e. encouragement, incentives, no liquids before bedtime, midnight bathroom trips, etc. I don't know why this device works but it does. He now gets up on his own and never has an accident. This was well worth the investment!!! |

Comments: When I asked my doctor about my then 6 year old son's bed wetting issues, I was told he was "just grow out of it". Now he is 9 years old and was still wetting the bed every single night. This time I was given a recommendation of this alarm and I am SO glad we tried it. We've only been using it for about 2 weeks, but I can see the progress already. He has been dry the last 4 nights in a row! Once we figured out where to clip the sensor and to get it firmly attached (we had one false alarm where it came unattached and went off, even though he was dry), it's been working great. Those first few nights were tough and even though the alarm is loud, when it's a little ways away in another room and muffled under the covers of his bed, I almost didn't hear it myself (he gets his deep sleeping from me!). But the last few times it went off, he has been getting up and getting to the bathroom on his own. It has helped that HE was the one who really wanted to do something about this, so he was totally on board with it. Even so, he doesn't exactly love wearing the alarm. So I can understand why they say that the child needs to be a willing participant. I wouldn't do it too early (say earlier than 6 or 7 yrs old), but I wish we didn't wait until he was 9! It really does work!! |

CONS BEST USES Comments: I have to start by saying I really don't understand how this works, but it really does work! We were recommended this product by our pediatrician at my sons 6 year check up. I was to the point of trying anything. My son had been wearing pull ups to bed for what seemed like forever. Not only was he wearing pull ups, but I was still changing the sheets every morning because he would wet though them. We had already limited his liquids to 8 oz at dinner, we were also having him empty his bladder twice before going to bed and still wetting through. We are now 3 months out and he has not accident in over a month. Not only has he not had an accident, he is also waking himself up to go to the bathroom. I have already recommended this product to a few of his classmates parents. One thing that I did in the beginning that was really helpful was I put down 3 sets of fitted sheets with a waterproof pad under each sheet so that when he did go in the middle of the night, all I had to do was tear off 1 sheet and the pad and throw his quilt back on the bed, it really saved time in the middle of the night. I hope this is helpful for anyone considering this product. I feel as though it has really helped my sons self esteem and he doesn't have to be embarrassed any more by wearing pull ups. |

Comments: If only I would have listened to the Dr. when she recommended this a year ago. I was worried about paying so much money and not having it work. Although I still think the price is a bit steep, I would recommend this product to anyone! It worked for my son simply because he didnt want to wear it or have it go off. He learned to not wet the bed quickly because of those reasons, which are good enough for me! He was done with it in less than a month, and 3 weeks of the month he simply wore it to remind him to get up before it went off. Thank you so much! |

CONS BEST USES Comments: My 6 year old is a hard sleeper. Tried many different things suggested by the doctor. We saw a specialist and he suggested this little device. My child wore it for 2 weeks and has been dry ever since. Confidence booster!!! Great product!! I wish our insurance would have helped pay for it. Money well spent. It will now be used to help potty train my youngest. |

BEST USES Comments: Product is well implemented - small, light, loud. However, getting our kids to wear the small sensor/wire inside or even outside their pull-ups was difficult, mostly perception about how it might obstruct their movement or bother them at night. Can attach it underneath the sheet where it doesn't bother them at all but then you only get notified after the bed is wet, and then only if placement proper. Don't know a solution yet other than don't let them drink anything 3 hours before bedtime and make sure they go one last time before bed. Great instructions came with and e-mail follow-up after usage. Instructions say kids have to want it to work. We presented in a helpful way, e.g. if you don't bedwet you can move to a "big" bed and this will help you. Need more help in explaining how to overcome kid's fear that it will pinch, restrict or otherwise bother their sleep. |

Comments: My 8-year-old daughter was so excited to start using the pink Malem alarm she chose (choice of alarm, light & vibration). It took her only a few days to start the transition from wetting to dry. When the alarm went off it startled her and at first she didn't mind, but after about a week of being startled, she begged to have a night or two without it. I made her wear it anyway, thinking she would regress. She toughted it out, and it paid off. She has gone about two months now without wearing the alarm, and without wetting the bed. She now is able to wake herself up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. There was only one time that she accidentally pulled it off her panties and it went off without her being wet. She is so proud of herself for sticking with the alarm, and for not wetting the bed anymore. It was well worth every penny we paid. I wish we would have known about this alarm years ago. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a bed wetter. |
