CONS BEST USES Comments: I feel obligated to post a review as i feel the others reviews I have read helped me get the most out of this product. My 6 year old was wetting the bed 3 times a night. She was getting infections from wearing pull ups to bed. So this alarm was the last gasp before trying medication. So the first few nights were tough but the alarm did work, once we got the hang of it. After about a week she was going only once or twice a night but no dry nights. After two weeks she had a dry night! However, she went back to wetting every night. After feeling frustrated, I read reviews again and decided to stick it out. It has been about 6 weeks and she has been dry every night for about a week now! She even gets up to go potty on occasion. I don't know how it works but it really does. One hint, you must be close to your child to wake them up or they will sleep through it. I slept in the same bed for 3 weeks before we got decent results. Parents, do not give up, even when you are so tired you don't care anymore! Also, I have read comments about sound levels and battery life but I have no issues. We are on the original batteries after 6 weeks or so. I think it is because I would shut the alarm off immediately when she wet herself. |

Comments: My 8 year old son was a deep sleeper and still wetting the bed everynight no matter how many times we got him up. In the first week of using the alarm he wet the first 2 nights then within a week was having dry nights. 4 weeks later he is still having dry nights. Amazing and the best investment is all we can say. His self confidence has improved, we should have got it earlier. |

CONS BEST USES Comments: I bought this for my six year old daughter who usually wet the bed 3-4 times a week and often didn't wake up until morning (soaked!). It took us a couple of tries to get it placed correctly. Once we found the right spot to clip it, it worked perfectly. I haven't had to change the sheets since! She wakes up immediately when the alarm goes off and it's so sensitive that her jammies aren't usually even wet. After a few weeks, I think we may be almost done with nighttime accidents! |

CONS
BEST USES Comments: This alarm goes off reliably when my son is wet, however we've had about 3 false alarms in the past month or so of use and 2 nights it failed to go off when my son was wet. My main criticism is that it is extremely difficult to turn off, even for an adult. It takes at least five minutes (sometimes closer to 10) of struggling with the button to get it to turn off. My thumb gets so sore that I use the eraser end of a pencil. You have to hold it down, HARD, for 30-60 seconds, SEVERAL TIMES in a row before it finally turns off. Also-the directions say not to use a pull-up, but lots of wet sheets are not an option for us because we don't have a washing machine at home. I found that it works fine with a pull-up if you cut a little slit inside the pull-up and clip the alarm in place there. The safety-pin feature is strange. It conjures an image of old-fashioned diapers, which is not what we want in mind, and the feature is pointless anyway. It's plenty loud enough to hear without attaching it to your child's clothing. Just lay it on the bed next to him. It won't go far because it's clipped to the pull-up/underwear. And when you're struggling to turn off the alarm for 5-10 minutes, you don't want to do this while the thing's attached to your child. This product is extremely overpriced for what it is, but I guess all bed-wetting alarms are. I would recommend it with these caveats. |

CONS BEST USES Comments: Loved this product! My 6 year old was wetting the bed almost every night. We had not tried much else before this (only had him avoid fluids before bed and empty bladder right before bedtime). I think this alarm scared him out of sleep enough that he quit wetting within 1 to 1.5 weeks! We had very quick results with this, but maybe not everyone will? |

PROS CONS
BEST USES Comments: Our pediatrician recommended this for our son who is 6 years old. With him being a deep sleeper, the loudness would help wake him so that he would stop urinating and then go in and finish in the toilet. What was left out from the company is...you better have a baby monitor so that you can respond quickly or else the batteries die. Within less than an hour if you do not hear the alarm, the 3 batteries are dead and are not cheap to replace. So after spending [$] on the alarm, $60 on a baby monitor (who has one when your kid is 6?), and a slew of batteries costing over $25 so far, we are done with this system. Mom wound up getting trained better than son because of fear that another set of batteries would go. |

Comments: Best thing I have purchased for my son. I am about to buy a second one after 2 years of using the Malem alarm. My son used it for about 6-9months was able to stop bedwetting, but then after 6 months of not using it, he started wetting again. We started using the alarm again and he has stopped, however we are going to continue for another 6 mths. They do wear out after awhile, but you do the math-night pull-ups add up quick. I have definitely gotten my money back, plus no more washing the sheets 5 times a week. |

CONS
BEST USES Comments: I purchased this product for my 6 1/2 year old who is in first grade. We have this problem in the family and cousins have been wetting until about 4th grade or so. I felt that if I did nothing but pull ups, we would be in them for another few years at best. For my son, the full ten weeks time frame will be realistic. He is just now making progress at the 6 week mark. Many reviews had the kids adapting much quicker and we have not experienced instant success. We have gone from massive wetting shoulder to knee and not waking at all to the alarm. To stage 2 which was still needing sheet changes but only up twice a night. Stage 3 has been small wet spots and a cheater towel to save a bed change until morning. Stage 4 Now the sheets are mostly dry and we sometimes need an underwear change. He is starting to wake more easily on his own, and is only up once (sometimes twice) a night. He is proud and happier with his successes. The batteries need frequent changes if you have a heavy sleeper. I think ours ran out the first time in less than 1 week. Also the sensor would keep going off even after the changes and I had a hard time negotiating the emptying of the bladder and the alarm waking the whole house. I figured out finally to unhook it at the source instead of "reseting" it with the little lever. I spent about 1 month being up a lot, doing a lot of laundry and having a hard time getting back to sleep myself, but I still feel that it is well worth it to stick with it even if you have a deep sleeper with a tiny bladder! |

CONS
BEST USES Comments: Very well-made, no false alarms. Very sensitive, with loud alarm that woke our son right up - and was audible from our room but not obnoxious. It was very helpful for us and I'd definitely recommend it! The only downside is that the pin to attach it to the pajama shirt is quite sharp - meaning it needed close supervision while he was putting it on and off. Really improved the bedwetting! |

Comments: This product has assisted my 5 year old son to completely stop wetting the bed within 2 weeks of use (just like it said it would)! You can't really ask for more. Perhaps the sensor could be a little easier to attach for a child - but that's only a minor concern. |
