I purchased a cheaper alarm first for my daughter to try and save some money, the green one around $40-50 and had to send it back because it didn't work well and after so much BS with PottyMD's CS I decided to buy the "good one",the well respected MALEM. It was apparent when I first played with it that it was well made, unlike the other one and it hasn't ever NOT SOUNDED when it needed to. Excellent idea, excellent product and remember--YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! a lesson well learned.

You have to sleep with your child to get them up when the alarm goes off. You will get no sleep for 2 months. I have seen no progress yet. I am still doing sheets 1-2 times a night.

I bought this following a recommendation from my pediatrician. My 5 year old son was wetting his bed multiple times a night. My husband was also a bedwetter, so we knew this might be an issue. I also bought a book on bedwetting to use in conjunction with this. We have been using the alarm for 6-8 weeks now and have currently had 12 dry nights in a row! The alarm had helped us tremendously and my son is very, very proud of himself. I would highly recommend this system to anyone.

My son is 8 yrs old and had been wearing pull ups to sleep in since he turned 2 & at times would wet through the pull ups. Since wearing the alarm with his regular underpants he has not had a wet night. The alarm, if it goes off at all, wakes him immediately to get up to use the bathroom. He even had the confidence to skip the pull up and alarm when he had a friend spend the night!! Wish I made this purchase years ago! I have recogmended it over and over to friends with little ones having the same problem.

It worked for my 8-year-old within about 3 weeks, and he's been completely dry for the past month! This is the first time in his life that he's been dry for more than an occasional one or two nights. We're now using it with our 6-year-old. He's been using it for about a month, and is only having occasional accidents now instead of nightly. This is SUCH a relief! I had my doubts, but for us it's worked great!!!

It really works! Our 8 year old was still wetting his bed on a regular basis. He participated in choosing the alarm and he was very interested in wearing the alarm. He wore the alarm for 4 weeks, we saw immediate improvements, and he chose to stop wearing it because he was no longer having accidents. I was skeptical, but this product did work for our very sound sleeper. It took about 3 weeks and now 2 months later we are having dry nights without the alarm. I thought my child would not like the wire under the shirt but it was not an issue. The directions were slightly confusing, but once we figured out how it worked we had no problems. My son was also able to get it on/off by himself. I would definitely recommend this product.

We purchased this for our 11 year old boy who has never been dry at night for more than 10 days in a row (and that last happened several years ago). Our pediatrician recommended the "he'll grow out of it" approach which as he's gotten older has not been sufficient. He is a very deep sleeper. The alarm woke him, but later and with more wetting as time went on. In hindsight, I should have arranged to sleep in his room the first week, as instructed in the book Waking Up Dry. Also, I think that a younger but really motivated child, would be a better age to start with this. I think that age child is more motivated by rewards like stickers and charts, and is more cooperative with parents.

My 7 year old son was excited to use his new "bed alarm" because he was so motivated to stop wearing pull-ups. I used a baby monitor in my room at night so that I would hear the alarm going off and be able to help him get up and walk to the bathroom. Because he is such a deep sleeper, it was hard for him to wake up on his own to go to the bathroom. I helped him each night for a week, going into his room when the alaram was buzzing due to urine, and helping him wake up enough to turn his alarm off (on his own), and then walk to the bathroom. Just the buzzing alarm would make him stop wetting, even if he wasn't totally waking up that first week. And then, miracle of miracles, literally after ONE week of repeating this routine, my 7 year old stopped wetting his underwear at night! It was as if a subconscious switch got flipped by the Malem alarm and he was suddenly able to tap into a new level of awareness even in his sleep. He could "hold" it, while sleeping, because the alarm had somehow trained some part of his nervous system to respond that way. Each night after that first week that he woke up dry we celebrated, amazed. It boosted his confidence tremendously. He has had only a few nights of slightly wetting the bed since then, and now, 7 weeks later, he no longer uses the alarm system at all because he wakes up dry every single night. Thank you, Malem bed wetting alarm! I wish I had tried this a long time ago!

I ordered a camouflage unit so that my son would not feel worse than he already did about wetting the bed. When the unit arrived and I opened the package I was shocked to see that the sensor unit cable was colored purple. It kind of defeats the purpose of ordering a camo unit. I guess I should be grateful the cable was not colored hot pink. Other than the cable color I am happy with the unit.
