Can be very useful to help child learns signs to get up and use bathroom. The alarm is loud however it does not wake my aux year old who has the bed wetting issue or the other three children. I was afraid the whole house would be awakened but they weren't. My son also moves around a lot so he can wet the bed somewhere besides the rectangle that only covers the middle of the bed or sets off the alarm falsely. If your towel is not thick enough the alarm will sound from movement. Don't worry that the alarm won't go off because of the towel because it will. I have had this product for a month and I've cut his accidents down to once or twice a night instead of four or five. Parent involment is important

Comments:

This is a competent and functional bed-wetting alarm for helping a toddler with overnight potty training. It is a style based upon a sensor pad. On the positive side, it works reliably if used as directed (i.e. with a breathable blanket or towel between sensor pad and child, to cut out false alarms from sweat), and it is flexible with regard to the type and volume of alarm. One negative is that once the alarm goes off, it will continue to sound until the sensor pad is physically disconnected from the alarm module -- the connection is a standard telephone jack, which is recessed too far within the chassis of the module to easily release. A second negative is that this is about $10 worth of electronics presented in an unattractive housing (it looks like a refugee from 1980's product design), and it costs an arm and a leg. But it works, and I suspect its price point reflects the fact that it has few mass market competitors.

Unfortunately - as loud as this unit was - it did not wake my son at all. I guess he is a very deep sleeper. So, unfortunately this product did not work for us.

Comments:

My wife is Deaf and I am hearing. We use American Sign Language to communicate during our courtship and 29 years of marriage. Unfortunately she is now very ill and I have hired a Deaf care-giver to live with us and help take care of her. She gets very high and low blood sugar levels at night and we needed a system that would alert us to when she begins these episodes that can lead towards being in a coma. She tends to sweat when this happens and the Bed wetting alarm goes off and is attached to another device that makes designated strobe lights flash on and off throughout the house so the Deaf care-giver is able to come and assist her right away. I hope this review will show that the product is not just for children wetting the bed. It can also be used for adults who are ill and bodies sweat as a sign of danger. Thank you for your wonderful product.

The jury is still out on whether it works as stated. My 13 year old son has been on it for 6 weeks. He has gone from twice a night alarms to once and every once in a while a dry night, but not consistently dry. Not happy about the tie down holes that have torn through. It was an expensive product for that to happen at 5 weeks in. It would be helpful for the pad to be larger too.

We thought we had tried everything with my 8 yr old daughter. She was simply an extremely heavy sleeper! This product works! Within a couple of weeks she was dry through most nights. Within a month she was always dry. The product is lightweight and easy to travel with as well. I would recommend this product to anyone. We are so thankful to have found it!

Granddaughter had tried and failed. Hated the night underwear. She knew she was now getting to old to be wetting the bed. Her self attitude about herself suffered before this product was used. Now she is over the moon and pleased with herself. Confidence went way up at school etc. She is now dry. She quit having any bewetting issues after 3 weeks. Now she has been dry for over 2 months.

We were sure it will be a long process for our 6 years old daughter but once installed, we recorded our own voice that made her feel more comfortable. First few times, we helped her to wake up and go to the restroom but after a few times, she started to do it herself. After a week of daily alarms, she had 2-3 more accidents in a period of 3 weeks and since then - clean! We removed it from her bed after 1 month. She doesn't need it anymore!

After unsuccessfully using the Wet-Stop 3 we purchased this device which worked as indicated. It was a little sensitive with false alarms during a bout with the flu and associated fever (sweating). I would recommend this to anyone struggling with overnight issues. Our child was 6 yrs and dry all day for more than 3 years but is a heavy sleeper. The adjustable volume was very effective.

We ordered this alarm because my mother had used a similar model when I was a child. The device worked for me within a week, and I have been 24 years without a single accident, even while pregnant multiple times. This was a much more compact device, and I was glad to find that you no longer have to connect clips to the sensor pad, as the wires are already connected. We saw results the first night. The second night with the alarm, she woke up as soon as she started to wet, and within a week, she was no longer wetting at night. This, of course, is a great relief as we no longer have to buy night pants, and she attend slumber parties without embarrassment. I would recommend covering the sensor pad with a pillow case as sweat or even contact with bare skin can cause false alarms. You should also make sure that the pad is lying completely flat each night as if a corner becomes bent, it will set off the alarm as well. Over all, I am extremely pleased!

Not sure results our family's results would be typical. My child was afraid to set off the alarm so he now pays more attention to his body's needs and does not rely on pull-ups. Only two accidents in 10 weeks! When the alarm did sound one night we did not hear it but he did, and he wasn't wet nor did he have to go. We did fully test it the next day and it functioned properly - it must have been a simple false alarm on a warm/sweaty night. No matter, it worked and that's great news for my middle school aged child who was finally ready to deal with it for good.

The plastic was difficult to sleep on, it slid out from underneath my son every night. When he actually did manage to stay on it , the alarm went off all the time. It was a big nuisance and a terrible product. The pad needs to be more like rubber and less like plastic so it will stay put.

I am using this product for my mother that has dementia. I like the variety of alarms plus the fact that you can record your own alarm (saying). For humid summer time I am using a washable bed pad. This seems to aleviate the sweating problem.

Comments:

My son is 11 and sleeps in a double bed. The pad is really very small and he easily rolls off it or moves away from it. It is also very sensitive and we are spending a good deal of time trying to figure out the best set up. He doesn't like the other alarms because they have to be attached to a shirt, which he doesn't like to wear and the alarm is uncomfortable. We still working on a solution to this problem.
