Our son is a very heavy sleeper, age 7, so the alarm woke us up more than him. However, it worked to help us understand when in the night he was wetting the bed (up until use, he wet the bed every night). We used the alarm for a few nights after which he asked to "try it on his own". Funny enough, he started getting up by himself and using the restroom at night (with a bit of help from us) and has now had a dry bed for the last few weeks. We didn't follow the "rules of use" that come with the product, but he had a sleep over the other night and didn't have any issues. Whether or not it was the alarm that got us there, it did get our son interested enough in figuring this out. I'd highly recommend trying the alarm once your child is willing to actively participate.

My 6 1/2 year old has never had a dry night in her life. I decided to try an alarm on her pediatrican's advice. She is starting the first grade in the fall and I really didn't want her to be embarassed about bed wetting and not being able to participate in sleepovers. The 1st and 2nd night she was very wet around 12:30am and then she woke up dry at 7am. The next night she woke up slightly wet at 7am. The next 4 nights, all just slightly wet once in the middle of the night and then dry in the morning. Then we had our 1st dry night ever on the 8th night! The next night, she was slightly wet at 2am and then dry in the morning. Then, to our amazement, from the 10th night on, she has remained dry! We went the 2 weeks with the alarm completely dry, then we did the every other night with the alarm for 2 weeks and she remained completely dry. We have now gone a full week without the alarm with no accidents. It is truly a miracle. I know everyone won't have this kind of "quick" success, but just try this because you might. I really never thought this would work and it did, and my daughter is so proud of herself!

I was skeptical, but we were desperate to try something and I was proven wrong. Have only been using it for 3 weeks, and the alarm hasn't gone off in several days, and he is dry all night.

I wish I had known about this product a few years ago. But it is working now and that is all that matters. She takes care of it herself. She is now getting up even if the alarm does not go off. That never happened before. She is so proud and happy to finally have some control.

I went ahead and bought five pads wanting to sure I had enough. I could have done with probably three after all. But this starter kit is great. important for parents to be knowledgeable about how to use the alarm, when to stop and how, and the book is helpful for your preparation. the mats are good quality and the tuck in one seems extra secure.

The first 2 weeks my son woke up soaking wet ... as we do not sleep close enough to him hear the sounds and help him wake up. Anyway, after those first 2 weeks, it has been WORKING !!! He wakes up on his own and I honestly can not believe it worked !!!!! A friend told me about this and it only took her child 3 days ... so, when we started using it we were all a bit worried nothing would work .... NOW - I am amazed and it is worth every penny we spent! My son is sooooo excited every day he wakes up dry!!!!!

My son is eight and was wetting a pull-up almost nightly. He would soak it, sometimes even before getting into bed??? We purchased this after a recommendation from our doctor and a relative having purchased it for her son. We explained it in depth to my son, we showed him how to use it and we explained the chart, also coming up with some incentive gifts once he had so many dry days. Right off the bat he remained dry - one night, two nights, then three, four, five nights. My husband and I thought, wow this is a miracle worker. After the 14 days of total dryness (we had a night or two of just a slight wet in his underwear, sometimes not even enough to make the alarm sound - we would then restart the 14 days of dry)we switched to every other night. He's done well but seems to now be dependent on the alarm - it seems psychological - like if he has it on, he'll stay dry in order to not make the alarm sound. On the nights without it he has wet some, even having a night of a good soaking, but he did wake to let me know and he then used the bathroom. Us going on vacation was another issue. He didn't want to have to wear the alarm at a relatives who was watching him - he felt better using a pull-up and said the pull-ups were slightly wet on one or two occasions. Overall I am pleased - we'll see how long it takes to ween him of it and have consistently dry nights. He went one whole summer without using anything - we thought he was done with his bed wetting, then this fall he started up again. I believe that was his 'secondary eneuresis'. I felt that educating him about it was a huge plus when it came to helping him feel empowered and confident about this new step we were taking. He was excited to share his information with his siblings, he wasn't at all ashamed.My only issue is the price point of this unit. T[$] That seems a bit steep, especially during tough economic times.

We love this product! Our eight year old son had wonderful success using the alarm. After a week of using the alarm he no longer wet at night and after continued use for a few more weeks, just to be safe, he is no longer needing the alarm. He has been dry ever since and it is wonderful to see him so proud with his accomplishment. We used regular underwear with the alarm and a pull up over it to avoid having to do so much laundry. It worked great. I would recommend this product without hesitation.

The product started working after ten days, it was 70% effective over the next 14 days, and 100% effective the last 18 days. The device is very amazing. The product was used on a 7-year-old who had only a few dry nights prior to use.

The malem alarm worked beautifully for my 5 year old son. The pediatricians said to wait until second grade to start "worrying" about night dryness, but my son (who was day-trained at 3) didn't want to use "diapers" at night any more. We purchased the malem ultimate package, read the accompanying book, and followed the directions. Within 3 weeks he was not having any accidents, and was getting up at night to use the bathroom. It's been about 2 dry months now. I only wish I had purchased this a year ago - it would have more than paid for itself with the money we would have saved in nighttime "diapers."

I was recommended to this website by my pediatrician. Having a long family history of bedwetting I was skeptical--I thought the wait it out approach was just how it worked, we tried waking her up at night we used pull ups and finally decided it was worth trying this system. Wow, what a difference. The first couple of weeks were difficult getting up 2-3 times a night forcing my child to get out of bed, but it has already improved. Most nights are dry and we have done this just over a month! My daughter at first hated the noise, but has gotten used to it and now actually turns off the alarm instead of covering her ears and screaming. :) The book helped a ton to know what to do. I ended up buying two more pads as I was running out every night, but the same time I did that was when she started making progress, so be patient--it really works!!!

I dont think i have ever reviewed a product but i must say that this alarm is amazing. It was easy to use, my daughter could put it on herself and it worked in a few short weeks. If you are even debating the cost, i promise it is so worth it. My daughter feels so good about herself and she is now enjoying sleep-overs. thank you!
