This kit is a miracle! Our seven-year-old daughter had never gone an entire week without wetting at night. Maybe a few days, but never a whole week. After reading the reviews, I decided to get the kit instead of just the alarm. The book that comes with the kit is SO helpful! It gave so many tips and hints on how to use the alarm to achieve the best results. It was definitely worth the added expense. Our first week, she had only one dry night. Week two she had six dry nights. We are mid way through week five and she has had dry nights for almost three straights weeks. We are currently using the alarm every other night and just have 10 more dry nights until she's not using it at all. I'm thrilled that I don't have to wash her sheets every other morning and that I don't have to get up with her at night to change pajamas and sheets. She is so proud of herself for all her dry nights. She is super excited that she can attend sleep overs and have friends stay the night without worrying about "accidents". I would HIGHLY recommend the kit (vs. just the alarm) to anyone concerned/worried/stressed about their child's bedwetting. My son started using the Malem Ultimate a few weeks before he started kindergarten at 5 1/2, when he realized his 2-year-old sister did not need a pull-up at night. He had never been dry previously; he frequently soaked through overnight diapers. In the first week it was encouraging to see he wet less and less--smaller amounts each time and less frequently. The bed pads were key in the beginning. Then, in the 4th week he just stopped wetting completely--holding it until morning-- and we stopped using the alarm 14 days afterward. Big success! Thank you.

Like you, I sat and read about 100 of these raving reviews. I was a skeptic, but changing sheets in the middle of the night, again and again, was getting very frustrating for me. Wow! I shouldn't have waited so long to buy this product. My 8-year-old son NEVER had a dry pull-up. May I repeat---NEVER! So after putting the tuck-in mattress pad on the bed, and getting dressed with just undies and pj bottoms, we were ready to try this. First week...wet his underwear and the pad twice (not through to the sheets at all). Second week...had 5 dry nights...wow! It has trained his brain to wake up when his bladder is full. Most nights he wakes up before the alarm. Some nights he never wakes up at all. Okay, we are now onto week 5 and he has had 11 out of 12 dry nights, with the "wet" night being a bit of moisture in his underwear. Make sure to read the book and follow the rule about "double voiding" before bed. That is a secret to success, too. Also, the "no lifting" rule. We used to do that every night before we were educated by this company. This alarm is a God-send and I would recommend it to anyone. My son is so much more confident and is looking forward to having friends sleep over this year. This is simply amazing!!! Do yourself a favor, don't wait until your son is 10 (which is when doctors say there may be a problem.) I wish I would have done this two years ago. Think of all the money I may have saved in pull-up purchases.

We used this for my 8 year old son and it only took two weeks for him to learn to stay dry. I had a hard time waking up to the alarm even with a baby monitor (not because it was too quiet, but because I was too tired) but my son would either get up and take care of things himself, or he'd come and wake me up. The original cost seems a bit much, but when weighed against all the money we'll save and the boost it has given to my son's self-esteem, it is WELL worth it!! Also, getting the book and waterproof pads is highly recommended.

My son has been dry through the night for 16 straight days!!!! The product worked in just two weeks and there was steady improvement from the first day he used it. We were concerned the alarm would not be loud enough to wake our son, who sleeps so heavily, but it did! I would recommend this alarm again and again - I wish we had tried it sooner!

I purchased the Malem ultimate bed wetting alarm kit for my 8 almost 9 year old daughter almost a month ago. She has wet the bed almost every night for all of her years. We have tried a few things in the past but none have worked and we always resorted to pull-ups. We finally asked the doctor what she suggested and she said that my daughter would eventually grow out of it and that we shouldn't worry about it but if we wanted we could look into an alarm. My daughter wanted to try it so we purchased this item. The first night the alarm went off 3 times. The kit came with 2 pads for the bed so it was an easy change over. She has not wet the bed since that night. She continues to wear the alarm for now. But she actually just went to her first sleep over without a pull up and we felt confident that she could handle it. She even wakes up on her own to pee in the middle of the night now. This product is simply amazing and I am so happy we tried it. I couldn't be more pleased with the results.It really works!!!!

My son is 8 years old and was still wetting the bed 3-4 times per week. We got the malem ultimate starter kit with mattess pad covers. We have been using it for about 5 weeks. During week 3-4, he was wetting about 1/5 nights. We just finished week 5 and he has been dry for a solid week now. So, we will continue to follow the directions of using the alarm until 2 weeks dry and then every other night for another 2 weeks, but I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and that we have gained enormous progress in a very short time. As for the alarm itself, it definitely is loud enough for parents to hear--which for us is fine because I wanted to be able to get up and make sure my son got out of bed to go to the bathroom. But, it'll definitely disrupt your parental sleep. At 8, my son is able to pin the alarm on and off to his pajamas, attach and detach the alarm to his underwear and turn the alarm off when it sounds. I have used the very handy chart that they provided to keep track. I also note on the chart what time the alarm went off. One of the mattress pad covers ripped at the location where you tuck it in, after only one washing, so that was a con. Otherwise, so long as my son didn't move around too much, the mattress pads have kept the bed dry. If you have a health savings plan, check to see if it covers this product. I did not think to check my plan before I bought it, but I understand some plans cover it. All in all, I wish we had thought to buy this product sooner. And considering the piece of mind, the fact that my son is thrilled at having trained his body to wake up when he has to go to the bathroom, especailly because he wants to be able to start doing sleepovers, it is well worth the money. Definitely recommend it.

It is very important that you read the book that comes with the kit! My son is 7 years old. We have been using the alarm for 5 weeks now. He has been completely dry for the last 2 weeks. He gets up on his own at night and goes to the potty. Before we got the alarm, he would wet 3-4 times a night. EVERY NIGHT!! He is so happy and so are we. This is worth every penny!! He can put the alarm on himself and take it off by himself in the morning. It is very easy to use.

We started out by using sound, light and vibration. The sound portion was extremely loud and was waking up everybody in the house. It was also scaring my son. When we switched to the vibration and light it still woke him up without waking everybody else in the house.

I put off buying this product for years and went through the expense of having my son tested by professionals. After wearing the product and one minor accident my son hasn't had a problem since! He doesn't have to wear the alarm at all anymore. The alarm seemed expensive to me and that is why I didn't buy it sooner. I would have saved money by not buying pull-ups. Well worth the money!!!! It worked well for our 7-year old daughter who has stayed dry after about 4 weeks. The loud sound always startled her so we adjusted it to just using the vibrate. She is a deep sleeper but the strong vibration woke her up instantly every time she wetted. There were nights when she slightly wetted (just her underwear), as she seemed to be learning to hold it and gets up to go to the bathroom. And after 4 weeks it eventually trained her senses, that since then, she stayed dry. Now, she feels good and confident that she doesn't need to wear the alarm. The overlays are wonderful sheet protectors...

My 5 1/2 yr old was having trouble with wetting the bed. It took only 6 weeks and he now gets up on his own and has not wet the bed in weeks! I recommed getting the combo pack. The bed covers work wonders. I layered them with the bedding so I only had to rip a layer off toss it in the wash and go back to sleep.
