We followed the book recommendations and our child was having dry nights within weeks. By week #6, dry nights were the norm. By week #12, we stopped using the alarm. There are still accidents about 1X month, but we are headed in the right direction and our child feels so much better. I strongly recommend the pads to allow the child to get up, change themself and the pad, and replace the alarm after going to the bathroom. I also recommend using the enclosed calendar. As our child saw many happy faces next to dry nights, there was greater confidence.

I bought this for my 7 1/2 year old. He has wet occasionally until age 5 and then began wetting almost every night. He began getting frustrated that his younger brother was dry and he wasn't. I was a bedwetter myself and completely understood his frustration and didn't want him to feel shame or embarrassment as I had. Making this large purchase was a huge investment as money is certainly an issue for us as we are living on only one income. But, after reading all of the reviews and incredible stories, I knew I had to try this! We used this along with his Pull ups (I know they recommended not doing this, but we don't have a washer/dryer and it costs so much to do loads of laundry). He would wear underwear, attach the alarm, and then put a pull up on top. It took about two weeks for him to go more than one night without wetting. From the 1st-2nd month he was having about 1 wet night a week. By the 3rd month, it felt like he turned a corner! No wet nights for 2 weeks! We then began having him wear his alarm one night, none the second night and so on for 2 weeks. Then, he began not wearing it at all. This took a couple tries - if he wet we would start over with the two weeks. By the third try he was dry. I can't even tell you how this has changed him! He feels so much more confident knowing that he will most likely wake up dry. I am so proud of him for sticking with it! I am so glad that I found this for him - so very thankful he didn't have to go through what I did. Thank you so much for this product!

if your child lies on his back and never moves and the sensor stays directly on top of the urine stream then the alarm will go off. Our alarm works when you put it in the line of water, my son has been wet 12/30 nights and the alarm has gone off once - waste of money for us!

My son was 6 years old and wetting the be multiple times a night. Nothing we did worked at all, and most nights he was soaked right through the pull-up. We even tried no pull-up, thinking that he'd wake up wet... nothing, slept right through the night in stinking wet sheets. I bought this product out of desperation and based on the excellent reviews. After 4 nights of using this alarm according to the instructions, he was DRY for the 1st time ever! As the instructions indicated, the 1st couple a nights were rough, lots of getting up with wet pants (at least 4 times!) to that jarring sound, but boy did it wake him up fast! by day 3 he woke up with a quarter sized spot of pee and told us that as he could feel himself waking up to stop the pee, he was taking control, yeah! After that he was dry every night. We experienced a set-back when we went away 1 week later, we did use the alarm, but the strange bed and being extra tired was a huge challenge so early on, he wasn't soaked though, and we just encouraged him, hugged him & went back to the beginning of the schedule as they instruct. Smooth sailing after that. THANK YOU MALEM! I would agree with the suggestion that 6 years old is the earliest time to start with this device. I don't think that my son would have been able to stick with it if he were younger. As it was, being woken up by the vibrating and those sounds is unnerving, even though he was committed to being dry, in the beginning, he needed lots of support and encouragement to persevere.

This was a great product, wished I had purchased it earlier. I was worried that the sound would wake up the whole family and embarrass my daughter even more but the vibration mode was great! IT has been almost 2 months without any incidence and she is a happy girl!

My son, who was 5 when he started using this product, wet his bed every night. We tried limiting drinks after 7pm, which didn't work at all, we tried waking him up at night to go to the bathroom, only to find out that he had already wet the bed or he hadn't, but still did after going when we woke him up. This product worked as advertised!! He used it for about 5 months and for the first month, he wet the bed, but the alarm did wake him up so we had an idea when it was happening each night. We didn't do anything extra, despite wanting to wake him up around that same time each night to have him go. Instead, we decided we would give it 2 months to see what happened. After the first month, there was an increase in the time that he was dry and eventually made a night dry, then a couple, then a week and so on! After him going 3 weeks without the alarm, we didn't use it and he did great, but did have 3 nights in a row where he wet the bed again, but we put the alarm back on and it was corrected immediately. He doesn't use the alarm anymore at all. He hasn't wet the bed in over 2 months. Great Product and would recommend it to anyone!

I couldn't wait to try this product on my 6 yr old who is a heavy sleeper and wouldn't get up at night. The first night he was a little nervous but excited to try. He only had one accident during the two weeks he wore the product. It worked like a charm. Wish I would have tried this sooner.

My 9 1/2 year old son is finally out of goodnites after using the alarm for two months. I highly recommend the alarm with the different alarm sounds. At first he was scared of the alarm (he initially selected a sound that reminds me of a space alien shoot out) but after some bribery and selecting a more neutral tone (telephone sound) he was willing to try again and he got the hang of it. I am so impressed!

I am only writing this review because I was so hesitant to purchase this product after reading some of them. I can honestly say that our experience was very positive. The product worked exactly as described. It did take a few days for our son to get the hang of it but it started making a difference almost immediately! It took about six weeks for us to give it up completely but it was a great investment and I would do it all over again. My son is 7 yrs. old

This product is amazing. I tried everything to help my daughter to stop wetting her bed. She would have a few dry nights and always relapse. My daugter is eight. I was worried she had a more serious problem. The first night I used the product the alarm went off in the early morning. I took my daughter to the restroom and she finished going to the bathroom. The second night she was dry. The third night she had a small amount of wetness early in the morning. Subsequently, I took her to the restroom and she finished going to the bathroom. We started using the alarm after being told to try this by our doctor. We had a four year old who was too big for diapers/pullups and was soaking through them every night. He was a very hard sleeper and I had my doubts that this would work. We started right after school let out (my husband teaches) and in the beginning he was wet 3-4 times at night but in about 6 weeks he was waking up to go to the bathroom and very rarely wet. It took about 8 weeks total but we were able to wean off the alarm and now he is consistently dry at night! The book really helped with advice on restricting foods/liquids. This was a great tool and he is so confident now! Would definitely recommend this to anyone with nighttime wetting issues.

Our 6 & 7 year old had wet since they were born - filling a pull-up every night. We were going to let it resolved itself on its own until our 7 year old was too embarrassed to have a friend over. So, I picked the brand (vibration & sound) and we let our 7 year old pick the color (camoflauge!!!). He was excited about starting. We got a kit, so I quickly read the book when it arrived (2 hours), put both pads on top of his sheet (tucked in), picked the alarm sound, and went through the routine (outlined in book) with him a couple times. For the first 5-6 days, he woke to the alarm twice each night. It didn't feel like his body was "getting it". Then the next 1-2 days, he woke to the alarm once a night. Then he started waking before the alarm! Since that point (2.5 months ago), he's stayed dry except for one accident (shortly after he was done wearing the alarm). Since his training went so well, his 6 year old brother was ready to try it. Due to a hectic summer schedule and resulting lack of sleep, his training didn't go as well. The alarm seemed to come off his underwear sometimes which set off the alarm (even though he was dry). For 2 weeks, we didn't seem to make any headway (no patterns emerged, no improvement made). Then we started getting more sleep and I turned off the music we play during the night, and we saw improvement. But he would stay dry 3-6 nights only to have another "accident". Eventually, he was able to stay dry for almost 2 weeks. Since the alarm fell off sometimes, we decided to stop using the alarm when school started. He has stayed dry now for 3 weeks with his first accdient last night. So, we didn't use it perfectly with our 2nd child, but I'm still pleased with the results. My two boys sleep in the same room, and the alarm didn't bother the other one much. It only bothered the other if the one wearing it didn't wake up and the alarm went on for awhile.

This requires commitment from the whole family to ensure a success. Having said that we are extremely pleased with the alarm. Our 6yr old was so fed up of being in pullups every night and was very motivated to try this. He started having dry nights after the first 2 weeks and was fully dry with an very occasional incident after 4 weeks. It is totally worth the few weeks of waking up with the alarm every night.
