Within 12 weeks of me purchasing the product my son stopped wetting the bed. I did a test of the device on him while he was awake so he had an idea of what to expect and he woke up on his own the first night. I highly recommend this for everyone.

This was a great investment and tool! My son is 10 1/2 and never had a dry night, leaking through his bedwetting underwear several times a week. I tried two nights to listen for the alarm and help him up, but this didn't work. I made the commitment to help him by sleeping on the floor for a week and a half to force him to get up and go to the bathroom. This was a very important step to my son's success. He would try to simply turn the alarm off, roll over, and go back to sleep. That short amount of time helped my son tremendously. Within days of my being able to sleep in my own bed, he quit needing the alarm at all. He has been so proud of himself. This has saved me money and time by no longer needing to buy special bedwetting underwear, more laundry detergent, and the energy and time needed to do laundry throughout the week.

This product ultimately worked for our daughter. She attached it herself each night and did not want our help. Gradually she had more and more dry nights. Luckily this happened in about 8 wks, because then the product malfunctioned. It wouldn't stop buzzing until we took the battery out. We cleaned it, changed battery, and tried other troubleshooting tips but never could fix it. The good news is she does not wet the bed now.

When we bought the Malem alarm we had little faith it would work. It's just that our 11 yr old had not had a dry night in his entire life. He is a deep sleeper and we felt nothing would work. Initially the alarm didn't seem to be having an effect on his bed wetting. We were discouraged but continued because the instructions said to keep with it. Not long after that...little by little he started having success and dry nights started becoming the norm. He was so proud of himself as he began to gain control of his problem. In the morning, he would walk in with a swagger and say..."Dry!" with cute smirk on his face and shrug is shoulders and walk off. After 4 months...the problem is virtually gone. I would not hesitate to tell people to buy this product. It's like an Apple product...It just works. You owe it to your child's self esteem to at least give it a try. You really won't regret it. WHY DIDN'T WE FIND THIS PRODUCT WHEN HE WAS 6!?!?!

thought the product was really good - I think that more thought needs to go into the design of the clip that attaches to underpants. It's just too small to feed material into - especially in the middle of the night. Other than that - which I felt was huge - the product was great. My son wore it for about 2 weeks and then started to sleep through the alarm - but we had dry nights and continue to have them.

I am very impressed by the Malem Alarm. My son is 5 1/2 and I was hesitant to buy it for him at this young age. However, he was a heavy wetter who sleeps like a rock and had NEVER had a dry night. A reduction in wetting frequency and amount happened within days, and within 2 months he stopped wetting completely. Worth every penny.

We solved an 8-year-old problem in 4 weeks! An all around great tool to help kids connect their bladders to their sleepy brains - something that's not always easy to do for heavy sleepers or kids who are used to sleeping in noisy/active environments. We had tried everything we could think of when a colleague recommended this product. The first 2 weeks our son woke after the alarm sounded; the 3rd week he woke as the alarm went off. By the 4th week, he was waking prior to the alarm (based on his body signals) and at the start of week 5 he took the alarm off and has never looked back. What a victory for our son! We are all delighted (and only regret that we didn't know about it when he was much younger).

My little boy is five and he would wet twice a night. Pull ups would sometimes work but most leaked through. I was a wetter when I was little and my parents purchased an alarm for me. What a change from when I was a kid! The alarm is small and light and the tone/vibrate was enough to wake up my child (and me when he came into my room) but it didn't wake the entire house. The first week was a struggle. He hated the alarm and it scared him. He would awake at nearly the same times every night and I knew it was during his deepest sleep because he was a bear! After a week of being woke up two times a night he was frustrated and to be honest, I was getting there too. At one point he said, "Mom, I just don't think this is going to work for me". I would keep calm when he was angry about it, tell him that he had to use it for 6 weeks (we had it marked on the calendar) and I just kept telling him that I knew what it was like. We stuck with it and the by the next week he was dry, every night. It went from all to nothing. We are now going on 6 months of being dry and he has had only one random accident. It was small as he caught it right away. I'm not concerned about a relapse. I ordered the ultimate for the extra tones and the pads and the book. The tones are a pain to change and I never did change them anyway. I didn't need too. I think the vibration is important though, especially for heavy sleepers. I never read the book, we just picked a start date and went with it. The pads are great. Get two to make it easy for yourself. They were soft and comfortable, were big enough for his twin bed, didn't move and kept everything dry. Made traveling a snap too. I'm so glad I ordered this. I had heard things like "he's to young", "it will be to scary for him", "alarms are cruel"...speaking from experience (both as a user myself when I was little, and as a parent for my little one) I disagree with all these statements. I have used the alarm on both my children with great success. They were able to stop having accidents after the first week. My daughter did relapse so it's important to keep the alarm on long enough. The directions for the alarm were a little tough to understand but once we did, the alarm is easy to use.

We tried EVERYTHING to get our 5 year old daughter night trained and NOTHING worked until we purchased the bed wetting alarm. She was completely night trained in 2 months, in which the alarm only went off a handful of times and it senses the smallest amount of moisture that we didn't have to change her sheet when she did have an accident, just her underwear which only had like 2 drops of urine in it. LOVE THIS PRODUCT and I would recommend it to EVERYONE who has a child that is still having night issues.
