Reusable Waterproof Overlays - Reviews

Conveniently keep bedding and mattress dry with this quality mattress protector. Replace the pad rather than the bedding to minimize your laundry chores! Just lay it across the bed (over the bottom sheet). The absorbent pad holds up to 4 cups (more than an adult bladder can hold) of liquid and… More

Okay pad

3.0

PROS

  • Easyto use
  • Doesn't move much

CONS

  • Not big enough

BEST USES

Comments:

This product has been helpful in decreasing the amount of times the sheets have to be washed due to leakage from disposable pants, but it sometimes is just one more thing to wash. It doesn't always catch all the urine. My child is a "busy" sleeper, so I would like the pad to cover more of the bed from top to bottom. The tuck in sides do help keep the pad in place.

Cuts down the washing! Now all you have to wash is this pad and not sheets, blankets, and mattress protector!

This product is all wet

1.0

PROS

CONS

  • Soaked through to sheets
  • Pad doesn't work
  • Tails don't stay tucked

BEST USES

Comments:

I thought this was exactly what we needed to help our daughter through her nighttime wetting but the pads sadly do not work at all. The sheets and mattress pad are completely soaked under the pads. The pads also retain a lot of odor after washing. I phoned the bedwetting store and they agreed to receive the items in return but sadly, I still do not have a solution to keeping our bedding dry during the night.

Wish I'd found these years ago!

PROS

  • Easy
  • Total coverage

CONS

BEST USES

Comments:

My 5 year old son was too worried about getting his bed wet to stop using pull-ups until I found these. He knows they keep his bed dry, and because I no longer have to "change his bed" he's relaxed and had many peaceful (and dry!) nights.

This pad is comfortable, large enough to provide good coverage, and easy to put on. The tails are long enough that it stays put. Great for small accidents. We bought two.

Good pad, could be better

4.0

PROS

  • Various sizes

CONS

  • Top batting-like material

BEST USES

  • Under bedsheet

Comments:

It would be better to have an absorbant fabric top instead of the quilted layered material (it's like non-woven batting). Just not sure how durable it will be if washed a lot. But I guess it is good for the price as these pads are not that easy to find.

I actually put these under the sheet to keep them in place better as my son is quite the mover at night. They have never leaked, don't retain smell, and more than two years after purchase they still look as good as new. I am now passing them on to my second child.

2.0

PROS

  • You can add tuck in sides
  • Nice fabric cleans well

CONS

  • Bunches up doesn't stay
  • Needs tuck in sides

BEST USES

Comments:

Used for child nightime enuresis. Hoped if it stayed in place it might save me laundry, always ended up by feet bunched up or by bedside floor...always clean and dry to my shagrin, with the same darned laundry to do each day....Solution, sewed extra fabric on each of two sides... now tucks in and stays in place. ***Sew on edge, don't puncture past seams for leak protection. Works well most of the time now.

Bunching Defeated!

5.0

PROS

  • Comfortable
  • Convenient
  • Economical

CONS

BEST USES

Comments:

This is a wonderful product for my retarded sister, who has bedwetting and colitis problems. The fact that the tails of the overlay tuck in between the mattress and box spring prevent the pad from shifting under her body during the night, so there is no uncomfortable bunching. When it gets wet or soiled, it can be removed easily for laundering without disturbing the rest of the bedding. Buy two so you have an instant replacement for any middle-of-the-night accidents!

I bought several sizes. I use it to protect the mattress and sofa/chairs. For the mattress, the one with the tuck-in sides is preferred. It keeps it in place.
