Reusable Waterproof Overlays - Reviews

Conveniently keep bedding and mattress dry with this quality mattress protector. Replace the pad rather than the bedding to minimize your laundry chores! Just lay it across the bed (over the bottom sheet). The absorbent pad holds up to 4 cups (more than an adult bladder can hold) of liquid and… More

good concept and works better than other waterproof overlays we've used with our son. But he is a restless sleeper so both sides that tuck in under the mattress have torn and usually don't stay tucked in.

Our dogs sleep with us. One was on medication and became incontinent in the night. Now that I've bought this pad he's been fine, but I'm happy to keep the pad on the bed just in case. Washing made it softer, but even new it was not stiff or uncomfortable to have on the bed. It's a great product and I wish I'd had it when our sons were little.

We started using these overlays after we stopped using pullups. My child was having accidents 2-3 times/night and the laundry was overwhelming. This product AND the bed alarm made a world of difference. My child is no longer having accidents!! I highly recommend these products.

GREAT BED PROTECTION

Comments:

This product was used for our 15 year old nephew who has occasional bedwetting (1-2 nights a week). We had a problem with the bedding getting slightly wet with regular sized bed pads. This bed pad is long enough that when he wets there is no over flow onto the mattress. Since using it we have had not damp or wet areas on the mattress a big plus since it is so hard to clean a wet area on a mattress. It is easy to wash. Only down side is that it take a long time to dry. We do not put it in the dryer after washing instead we hang dry it in the bathroom. When he has a wet night the bed pad usually is not totally dry by the time he goes to bed the next night. No biggie as he then wears Goodnites for those nights. All and all a great bed pad. Just wish we had it sooner so as to avoid the embarrassing crinkly plastic on his bed that is so obvious when friends come over and sat on his bed.

This is a fantastic time saver. I bought two pads so if one gets wet, only the pad needs to be changed, not the whole sheet set.

These have saved me a ton of laundry and changing beds. They have finally worn out after 5 years of daily washing. I am ordering more. The ones that tuck in work the best.

  • Protect mattress

Comments:

I purchased this product to protect my son's organic rubber mattress from accidents. My only suggestion is to change the size options. I like to protect the whole mattress (head = vomit; toro = urine; feet = who knows what). It would be great if the product came in twin, full, queen & king sizes. I wish I had one on my king mattress when my son showed up in the middle on the night, only to have an accident an hour later. Please make them larger. I bought two of your largest size to cover my son's full size mattress.

Comments:

I have really bad night sweats at times, such that I often have a soaked bed. The problem I often run into is that when allot of water is focused on a single spot of a waterproof pad it soaks through. Or if it doesn't, after a few washes it does. I usually end up washing 5 or 6 breathable waterproof pads because the heat of plastic just makes night sweats worse. And it's all I can do to keep from ruining the mattress. Well, I bought two of these (small, so I could position it) and they have yet to leak. They also make the mattress feel much more firm (it has a crater in the middle, so more firmness means a better night sleep) and overall I have had substantially less laundry to do. I still use other pads in combination - just in case - but so far so good. Totally worth it.

My dog got old and incontinent. With these, my cleaning time went from hours down to a few minutes & I had time to play with my dog again! Great for pet rescue groups too. Should be advertised for this use! I use them & wash them constantly, they have lasted for years & still seem new. Love them.

PROS

  • Saves on laundry

CONS

  • Need two to cover enough

BEST USES

Comments:

My wife is incontinent and sleeps in a single bed. The pad works as advertised in that it absorbs a lot and is easy to launder. My problem is that one pad does not cover enough area. I use two pads. It didn't help that the 33 x 35 pads I ordered are actually 27 x 32. A better size would be 36 x 36.

CONS

  • Weak seam

BEST USES

  • Bedwetting

Comments:

I love these pads. I have a total of 4 that I use on my kids' beds. They make the job of changing a wet bed a million times easier. Two improvements I can suggest are to: 1) reinforce the seam between the tail and the pad. I had to re-sew these on the first set of pads. 2) make the pad wider. I've had lots of nights where the mattress gets wet right along the edge where there's no mattress pad under the sheet or sheet protector on top.

My son has accidents at least three times a week - I would have to strip and wash his bed every time. With the Reusable Waterproof Overlay, I simply remove the pad on top of the fitted sheet and wash the pad only. Such a time saver!

Comments:

I have an 8 yr old boy who still wets the bed everynight. We purchased a bed wetting alarm and needed something that would protect his brand new mattress during the transition from pull-ups to underwear. We tried pads, mattress cover, etc and then saw these. Unlike the pads, this does not move around because you tuck the flaps in between the mattress and box spring and it doesn't move out of place. These are very easy to wash, and much more durable for many washes, more so than a full mattress waterproof cover. He has a double bed, so I ordered the Large size and it works perfectly. I went back and ordered another so there's always one clean in case I need to replace it in the middle of the night if he has an accident. Highly recommend these mattress covers, with the tuck in sides!
