Reusable Waterproof Overlays - Reviews

Conveniently keep bedding and mattress dry with this quality mattress protector. Replace the pad rather than the bedding to minimize your laundry chores! Just lay it across the bed (over the bottom sheet). The absorbent pad holds up to 4 cups (more than an adult bladder can hold) of liquid and… More

Great product

4.0

PROS

  • Easy to clean up night
  • Easy to wash
  • Lightweight for travel

CONS

  • Bunches up at night

BEST USES

Comments:

My son sleeps in our bed with us, so we got a larger overlay. It bunches up with night movement; other than that, it's really perfect. Clean up is incredibly easy now & my laundry load is much lighter.

I bought a few pieces in varying sizes to cover my sofa and chairs for accidental leaks or spills. The quality is really good, soft to the touch and does not shrink after washing. The only minor concern is that some pieces are one or two inches shorter than specified. Since the pieces I bought were a few inches wider than my intended furniture, this does not present a big problem. This is just one suggestion for your quality control. Thank you.

Moves as much as your child does!

4.0

PROS

  • Cuts down on the wash

CONS

  • Moves with the child

BEST USES

Comments:

I have a bedwetter! I use this product to cut down on having to wash the bedding so much. It has helped tremendously but it moves around when the child moves and sometimes the bed gets wet anyway. I would definitely recommend the pad with the tuck-in pannels.

Must have for any night wetting

Comments:

This works exactly as advertised. It stops everything, traps everything, and washes up in a flash, with no noticeable decline in quality/integrity after approximately 50 washings. And it's comfy and soft, with no discernable wetness after use (meaning no discomfort in the middle of the night). If you have a child who moves a lot while sleeping, buy the largest pad possible (we started with three small pads but now have three super-large pads) and consider tuck-in tabs (we did not buy with tuck-in tabs)--otherwise, the child may simply roll off the pad.

We put this on top of the fitted sheet while my 6 year old is using her bedwetting alarm. It has been very useful and Im glad I bought it. I have nothing to compare it to, this is the only kind I bought. They work, and they are convienent. But I have had trouble with them repelling. They dont seem to soak up the urine. The urine sort of beads up on the top. But it does what its supposed to do- it keeps the sheet from getting wet so I dont have so much laundry.

PROS

  • Saves the mattress
  • No pull ups
  • No full sheet washing

CONS

BEST USES

Comments:

My daughter has an imature bladder and wets the bed almost every night. We cut off drinks at dinner time and it still does not help. We would wash sheets so many times, it was becoming quite a chore. She is too old for pull ups and would cry every time we made her wear them. This overlay has saved so much from time of sheet washing to saving my washing machine and my daughter's pride! I would recommend this product to any parent going through the same problem.

Good product

4.0

PROS

  • Soft not rubbery
  • Absorbs not repels
  • Launders well
  • Easy to use

CONS

  • Slight odor when new
  • Could be wider
  • Slight shrinkage of top

BEST USES

  • Incontinent dog

Comments:

Have an older, incontinent dog who has slept with us since puppyhood and this protects my bedding from her accidents. Took a little time to get her used to staying on it-possibly due to a slight odor when new, but it is soft and absorbs the liquid so the top cotton isn't soaked. It would be nice if it were wider, but I purchased 2 and can use them together when needed. A slight shrinking of the top cotton after washing, but otherwise a really good product for the money. I had price other similar pads and this was half the cost for the same size.

Excellent Quality

5.0

PROS

  • Fine quality material
  • Wash like a dream
  • Easy to use for seniors

CONS

  • Can't think of any

BEST USES

  • Underneath older seniors

Comments:

I use the product as my 79-year-old husband is somewhat incontinent due to all the medications he takes. I place it under the waist-to-knees area on his side of the bed. I bought two so I could keep one at the ready. He's fine with it, and it keeps me from having to change kingsize bedding--clear down to the mattress--so often!

PROS

  • Great size options
  • Durable
  • Easy to wash
  • They're really waterproof

CONS

BEST USES

  • Pet incontinence
  • Kid bedwetting
  • Keeping furniture clean

Comments:

Love these overlays. I have had them for years and just recently bought a few more so I can have one set in the wash and another to put right back where I use them. I have two female dogs (Lab and Boxer) who both have spay incontinence. So, they leak occasionally and having these allows me to put them under their dog beds or under the furniture slipcovers so they can sleep where they want to and then if they do leak, I can throw the slipcover, dog beds, overlays in the wash so easily. It's a great solution. I also used them when my nephew was little and had some bedwetting issues when he'd spend the night... so helpful.

BEST USES

  • Senior incontinent dog

Comments:

My almost 13 yr. old dog is incontinent and has slept on our bed since puppyhood. Doggie diapers/pads do not fit her correctly and would fall off during the night leaving quilt, comforter, and sheets soaked. I ordered this on the internet and am very pleased with the results. I put it on top of our quilt where she lays and even though she moves around during the night, I can still slide it under her to protect the bedding. She was a little hesitant at first to lay on it, there was a slight vinyl odor before several washings, but I put her fleece blanket on top of it and now she is more comfortable on it. I still have to wash it and her small blanket every day, but it beats doing ALL the bedding every day. I wash it on gentle cycle in warm water and low heat dry and it comes out great. Only a little shrinkage of the top cotton, but it still saves me from doing 4 loads of quilt/comforter/comforter cover/sheets every day. I had checked a local drug store for something similar, but they wanted double the price for a smaller size(I got the large flat) so I consider this very affordable, and well worth the price for the return of my sanity.

This has been a lifesaver for mom! No more having to replace sheets on the bed daily. This product keeps the sheets dry. I recommend purchasing 2 of these. If your child wets in the middle of the night, you just take off the wet one and replace it with the clean and dry one. And they are easy to wash. This has truly been such a help for us.
