Reviews of Reusable Waterproof Overlays

Conveniently keep bedding and mattress dry with this quality mattress protector. Replace the pad rather than the bedding to minimize your laundry chores! Just lay it across the bed (over the bottom sheet). The absorbent pad holds up to 4 cups (more than an adult bladder can hold) of liquid and allow

I use these pads for an elderly dog that has recently become incontinent. She loves to lay on the pad, which is great as it has served as great protection for my area rug.

Comments:

My almost 13 yr. old dog is incontinent and has slept on our bed since puppyhood. Doggie diapers/pads do not fit her correctly and would fall off during the night leaving quilt, comforter, and sheets soaked. I ordered this on the internet and am very pleased with the results. I put it on top of our quilt where she lays and even though she moves around during the night, I can still slide it under her to protect the bedding. She was a little hesitant at first to lay on it, there was a slight vinyl odor before several washings, but I put her fleece blanket on top of it and now she is more comfortable on it. I still have to wash it and her small blanket every day, but it beats doing ALL the bedding every day. I wash it on gentle cycle in warm water and low heat dry and it comes out great. Only a little shrinkage of the top cotton, but it still saves me from doing 4 loads of quilt/comforter/comforter cover/sheets every day. I had checked a local drug store for something similar, but they wanted double the price for a smaller size(I got the large flat) so I consider this very affordable, and well worth the price for the return of my sanity.

This has been a lifesaver for mom! No more having to replace sheets on the bed daily. This product keeps the sheets dry. I recommend purchasing 2 of these. If your child wets in the middle of the night, you just take off the wet one and replace it with the clean and dry one. And they are easy to wash. This has truly been such a help for us.

I bought two of the regular size tuck-in overlays for my son's twin bed. We used them every night during the use of a bedwetting alarm. They definitely helped to cut down on the amount of laundry the next morning!

Comments:

I bought two of these for my 5 year old who wets the bed. They are much, much better than the cheaper vinyl pads I had been purchasing from a national retailer. The fabric on those pads would pill after several washings and the vinyl backing would crack after a couple of weeks of washing and drying, making them useless. These pads, however, are much, much better. I have not noticed any damage from daily washing for at least a month now, and the fabric on top is super soft. These are a great value, great product. I bought the large ones that tuck under the mattress and they really stay in place.

PROS

  • Very absorbent
  • Easily washed
  • Easily changed
  • Size was perfect

CONS

  • Pricey but worth it

BEST USES

  • Protects the mattress

Comments:

I buy these for my father, who is incontinent. He sleeps in pull-ups with an extra pad inserted "just in case". We bought him an expensive bed that changes from soft to hard by using a remote control and picking a number. (You know which one I'm talking about). This bed was VERY expensive. This is the only site that we could find a pad that would cover the entire double/full size bed. This way, when he rolls around, we don't have to worry about the mattress being spoiled. It's so easy to remove, and throw in the washing machine. We keep one on hand as a back-up. Expensive, but well worth the price.

Reusable Waterproof Overlays

PROS

  • Large enough for a sofa

CONS

BEST USES

  • Canine incontinence

Comments:

We have a large dog with a leaky bladder and she is allowed to be on one bed and one sofa in the house. This is a lifesaver since the smaller pads didn't cover these items.

Beats changing sheets!

5.0

PROS

  • Easy to use
  • Quiet
  • Large
  • Comfortable

CONS

BEST USES

  • With bed wetting alarm
  • Bed
  • Sofa
  • Any sleeping area

Comments:

I would recommend 2 of these products. They were much easier to change in the middle of the night than all the sheets and matress pad. We just layed this on top of his sheets and he slept right on top of it. It was large enough to cover the entire top part of his bed and we were able to palce it close to his pillow. We used this with the Malen alarm and when the alarm went off in the middle of the night, we just removed the pad and replaced it with another and were able to just change our son's pajamas. Much better than having to strip a bed at 3:30 in the morning and then remake it.
